Diana Borgmeyer, Ansvar Risk CEO

Diana is responsible for developing and delivering innovative and market leading risk solutions for Ansvar customers. Prior to joining Ansvar, Diana was the senior risk management consultant with the Victorian Managed Insurance Agency (VMIA). Diana’s portfolio of clients whilst at the VMIA included the Community Services Sector, Emergency Services, Victoria Police, the Department of Human Services and Department of Justice.

Diana has over 20 years’ experience leading enterprise risk and governance functions in both public and private sector organisations with particular expertise in strategic risk management and the management of risk in health and human services organisations. Diana also holds a Board position with a community health organisation and is Chair of their Quality and Risk Committee.

Anthony Black, Senior Risk Consultant – ERM & National Care Practice Leader

Anthony is a passionate advocate of the value of risk management in good governance and achieving objectives. He brings a wide variety of sector experience and expertise to his role. As a former nurse and health service executive, he understands the challenges and uncertainties of managing complex services, particularly in the disability & aged care sector where he has held clinical, senior management and executive roles.

Prior to joining Ansvar, Anthony was responsible for the delivery of risk management advice and solutions to the Victorian Public Sector, specialising in Health, Human Services, Community Care and Education. Anthony takes a practical and tailored approach to risk management; designed to shift focus from traditional methods to more strategic thinking and approaches.

Hetty Johnston AM – Safeguarding Practice Expert Lead

Hetty Johnston AM, GAICD, founded the Braveheart’s Foundation Ltd in 1996 and remains Australia’s leading child protection advocate. Braveheart’s mission to reduce child sexual assault and exploitation in our society, and vision to make Australia the Safest Place in the World to Raise a Child remains a number one priority.

A born lobbyist, Hetty is a woman of passion and determination who has succeeded in highlighting the crime of paedophilia and child sexual assault within the media, families, schools and the general community, both nationally and internationally.

Hetty has spent almost 30 years being a voice for our community. She has succeeded in drawing attention to, and inspiring positive change on, key issues including the environment, criminal justice, education, health, small business and child safety. In 2014, Hetty was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her work.

Hetty is also a much sought-after speaker at Local, State, Federal and International levels and has been recognised for her outstanding contributions to child protection with numerous awards and nominations throughout her career. Hetty works with government and non-government agencies on legislative reform, submissions, lobbying and research to improve child protection and political accountability in Australia.

Stephen Ratcliffe, Senior Risk Consultant – ERM

Stephen is passionate about supporting clients to develop strong governance systems and processes to help them succeed. Stephen has over 17 years’ experience working in public health roles, most recently Director of Strategy, Planning and Risk at Royal Melbourne Hospital and as Project Director of the Metro Tunnel Interface project. He was also a safety culture champion and supported initiatives on positive workplace behaviours.

Stephen has a broad background and qualifications in risk management, project management, service redesign and managing change. He originally trained as a dietitian and spent 10 years working in private practice in aged residential care, disability home care services and veterans affairs home visit services on the Mornington Peninsula.

David Pearce, ERM Product Development Consultant

As Ansvar Risks’ ERM Product Development Consultant, David works to support Ansvar’s clients to help management and executives build governance and risk management capability and develop effective approaches that supports decision making, advance performance and optimise objectives.

Nicholas Varelas, Business Operations Officer

Nicholas is the business operations lead for Ansvar Risk. He is responsible for coordinating client activities and engagements, managing team projects, and is the team liaison with Ansvar Risk’s key stakeholders. With over 3 years of Operations experience within Ansvar Insurance, Nicholas has a deep understanding of procedure development and activity coordination and uses his skills to promote a productive, objective-driven and engaging client facing team. Nicholas is a recent graduate from Monash University with Bachelor degrees in Business (Law) and Banking and Finance.
